Aram Kim, 17, has won first prize in competitions such as the Lois Lymann Concerto Competition, VIVO International Music Competition, Anthony R. Stefan Scholarship Competition, Uel Wade Scholarship Competition, and the New York Debut Concerto Competition, among others. She received the Merit Award in the Blount Slawson Young Artist Competition in Montgomery, AL. She was a semi-finalist in the 2019 Thomas & Evon Cooper International Violin Competition in Oberlin, OH. She has performed in halls in New York City such as Merkin Concert
Hall, Victor Borge Hall, Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall, as well as Troy Savings Bank Music Hall in Troy, NY. She has played in masterclasses for prestigious violinists such as James Ehnes, and has also performed the Mendelssohn Octet with Josef Spacek.
Aram was a recipient of a scholarship from the National Federation of Music Clubs. She has been a member of the Empire State Youth Orchestra for 4 years. She has attended the 4 Strings Music Festival, Narnia Music Festival in Italy, and the renowned Meadowmount School of Music. She is currently under the instruction of Ann Setzer in the Juilliard Pre-College Division.
