
Emrik Revermann is an 18-year-old Canadian-German violinist, based in Toronto. Emrik made his solo orchestral debut at the age of nine and has since been a soloist with several orchestras in Canada and Europe. He is a prizewinner in international competitions, including the Johannes Brahms International Competition in Austria (Second Prize), the Cooper International Violin Competition in the United States (Laureate, Audience Prize), and the Kocian International Violin Competition in the Czech Republic (Grand Prize). Emrik takes masterclasses in Germany and Austria and is a previous recipient of the Arkady Fomin Scholarship. In 2025, he was selected as a Student Artist at the Starling-DeLay Violin Symposium at Juilliard in New York. In September 2026, Emrik will begin his Bachelor of Music at The Glenn Gould School at The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, where he will study with Jonathan Crow and Timothy Ying. He will also study history at the University of Toronto. He plays on a violin by Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume (1844) on generous loan from the company Canimex Inc., in Drummondville, Quebec.
