Julie Andrijeski, Violin
Julie Andrijeski (violin) is a Grammy-winning performer, scholar, and teacher of historical music and dance. A full-time faculty member at Case Western Reserve University since 2008, she is currently Head of Historical Performance and Coordinator of Historical Performance Ensembles. She teaches classes and directs ensembles in historical music and dance. She is also Teacher of Baroque Violin at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Special teaching engagements include residencies at the Juilliard School and invitations to lead classes at similar institutions and summer workshops across the country. Andrijeski is Artistic Director and Concertmaster of the Atlanta Baroque Orchestra, Co-Artistic Director of the 17th-century ensemble Quicksilver, and a frequent guest with several other established early music ensembles. Her skills in historical performance also include choreography and stage direction, most recently with the Atlanta Baroque Orchestra (Handel’s Acis and Galatea) and Apollo’s Fire (Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas).
