Lun Li, violinist, is a native of Shanghai, China. A winner of the 2021 Young Concert Artists International Audition, he recently graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music with a bachelor’s degree under the tutelage of Ida Kavafian and was the Jean J. Sterne Fellowship recipient. As the second-place winner of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music’s 2012 Haydn Chamber Music Competition, his quartet was invited to perform in the Helsinki Music Centre Festival. Li has participated in masterclasses with Arnold Steinhardt, Midori Goto, and Pierre Amoyal. In 2017 he served as the concertmaster of the Pacific Festival Orchestra under Valery Gergiev. He has also participated in the Marlboro Music Festival, Music@Menlo, Music from Angelfire, and the Verbier Festival Academy. He is now pursuing a Master’s degree at the Juilliard School with Catherine Cho and Joseph Lin.
