
Violinist, Yebin Yoo, is emerging as one of the most compelling young voices in classical music today. Heralded as a “disciplined and gifted performer” (SBS Australia), violinist Yebin Yoo has distinguished herself as a prizewinning artist, earning Second Prize at the 2026 National Schadt Competition and First Prize at the New England Conservatory Concerto Competition. She first gained international recognition at sixteen as the youngest-ever winner of the Gisborne International Music Competition, and by eighteen had swept almost all national competitions in Australia, including the Australian Concerto and Vocal Competition and the National Youth Concerto Competition.
As a soloist, Yebin has appeared with orchestras including the Korean Symphony Orchestra, New England Conservatory Philharmonia, South Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Preston Symphony Orchestra, Queensland Youth Symphony, and Melbourne Youth Orchestra. A three- year resident artist at the Marlboro Music Festival (2024–2026), Yebin has been selected for Marlboro On Tour in 2027. Her additional festival appearances include the Ravinia Steans Music Institute, the International Community Engagement Program (ICEP) Japan Tour with Midori, Heifetz on Tour, the Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival, and Kronberg Academy
Masterclasses.
She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Musical Arts at the CUNY Graduate Center under the guidance of Mark Steinberg, and previously completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the New England Conservatory, where she studied with Miriam Fried.
